How to Become an IICRC Master Textile Cleaner…In 6 Easy Steps!
Becoming an IICRC Master Textile Cleaner is a significant achievement in the cleaning industry. It demonstrates expertise in textile cleaning, including carpet, upholstery, and fabric care. This certification is one of the highest distinctions awarded by the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC), requiring dedication, training, and experience. This recognition distinguishes cleaning professionals as industry experts, setting them apart from other professionals. Achieving this status not only enhances credibility but also opens doors to higher-level job opportunities, business growth, and increased client trust.
Chairman's Report
There has always been a debate: should you clean with water alone or add cleaning agents? Some cleaners use nothing but water to clean and rinse carpets, while others rely on the use of alkaline and acid pre-sprays and extraction rinses. Over the past 32 years, I have heard every argument—both pros and cons!
Recently, someone commented on why their company exclusively uses a professional-grade pre-spray and only water to rinse carpets, saying, “Why would you put soap on top of soap?” That is a valid perspective, even though it is an incorrect statement.
