Owner Bio: I entered the carpet world as a carpet installer in 1976 and in 1980 came over to the carpet cleaning and restoration end. Having become a Master Restorer and Senior Carpet Inspector I got a B1 California Contractors License and developed a business with a staff of 18 people that cleaned and restored or replaced all types of flooring for large property management companies. Also developed a division that rebuilt homes for insurance companies that sustained water, mold or fire damage.
After becoming a raging alcoholic from all the stress of managing all that, in 2005 I decided to sell that company and specialize in the most creative and exciting service that I always enjoyed doing. Carpet color restoration and repairs.
I have been certified by the great master dyers across the USA over the last 35 years and now gives talks on it when ever asked.
I am known as the guy that fixes the odd and unusual things that happen to carpet in Southern California. My favorite thing is mixing the exact color dye that, when sprayed on a bleach spot or faded area, makes that carpet problem go away and save people thousands of dollars.
I have been a member of CFI since 1988 and was on the BOD in 1993. I have a lot of friends in the industry and in this association. I would say it is one of the main reasons I have been able to make a living in this field by following the things I have learned and mentors I have had in the CFI.
